A beautiful Chinese armorial plate, painted with the arms of the DUKE OF GRAFTON, 
Fitzroy family. They were descended from an illegitimate son of King Charles II.
'Fitzroy' means 'son of the king'.
 
Family seat is Euston Hall , Suffolk.
 
Excellent condition,  some invisible restoration to rim, 12 'o'clock to 2  'o'clock.
Small chip to rim. Fine haircrack to central well.
Some minor regilding.
